Why is Dubai called a fake city?

Look at that. In 17 years, it went from a patch of desert to looking like downtown Manhattan.

Massive amounts of money were poured into Dubai, trying to make it look like a metropolis, in the shortest amount of time possible.

It feels fake, because a city doesn’t really belong there. It’s literally a patch of desert. The flashy buildings and resorts just try to hide that.

Beneath all the flash, it’s really a pretty terrible country for anyone that isn’t a millionaire. Working conditions are horrible, and living conditions are just as terrible for poor people. Poverty rates are estimated at about 20%, plus they have a terrible human rights record. It isn’t really even considered a free country. It’s pretty awful. United Arab Emiratet

Dubai is a perfect example of a facade. A layer of wealth and opulence veiling a grimy and tarnished center.

My teenager is making $200 dollars over the weekend on a freelancing job.

This is how it happened…

A few days ago, he visited his doctor for a routine checkup. Over the normal doctor-patient conversation, his doctor mentioned she had a seminar coming next week and was needing help with digital marketing.

Vladmir Putin also reports owning a 830 square foot apartment in St. Petersburg, along with a few very modest vehicles.

Of course, Putin has a rumored secret billion dollar mega-mansion that is held by a company that is rendered impossible to trace.

Of course, involvement with the compound is denied.

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project have good reason to believe that he has a large stake in the state-controlled gas giant Gazprom.

Other firms that operate out of his homeland, too.

In 2012, there was a report that had revealed he owned 58 planes and helicopters and 20 palaces that were worthy of tsars.

I’d tack on a secondary title; most powerful man in the world.

Richest? I mean, it could very well be that his net worth is in excess of $200 billion.

We won’t know, given Putin seems firm that his $135,000 salary camouflages him from the rest of the world.

What should I never do or say in Pakistan?

 

There are things that you should not do in Pakistan:

Remember #1 Pakistan is not an Arab country. No three kisses to greet. Please don`t; it would be very embarrassing here. Hug if you are good friends. Shaking hands is enough.

Do not do that, Please !!!

Remember#2 Women don`t shake hands with men in Pakistan. It is considered against social norms in most areas.

It is rare and widely criticized.

Remember#3 People in Pakistan are very emotional and sensitive when it comes to religion. They can easily misunderstand and create a scene. DO NOT MOCK ANY RELIGION ESPECIALLY ISLAM! If you want to mock something or someone, try your skills on our politicians. Everyone will enjoy that.

Remember#4. We drive on the left side of the road. The steering wheel is on the right side of a vehicle.

Remember#5. Do not mess with law enforcement agencies even if you are right. They can easily make your life a living hell. Be polite, respect them, pay them money, accept your mistake twice and thank God. A few of them will be corrupt, but they don`t like to be told that.

Remember#6. Don`t ask for wine. Usually, you won`t get it legally.

Do Turkish people call their country ‘Turkey’?

 

No we don't call our country “Turkey” . The word turkey (the animal) called as “Hindi” and this word also means indian person. We call India “Hindistan” and actually this word kind of means “the land of the hindi's”. Turkish people call Turkey as “Türkiye” and this word also means “The land of Turks”. -iye and -istan paragoges add meaning of “Land”- “Homeland” to the word front of them.

What do you people prefer, a hug or a kiss?

 

See, kissing isn't something that happens often.

There are 7 billion people on this planet. Out of that number, only about 4 will kiss you; your parents, spouse and children (if you have them).

When anyone who isn't your spouse/partner kisses you, it can only be a quick peck for a few seconds. Go anywhere beyond that, and society will call it "sexual."

But a hug can be given to anybody. It can last for as long as you want it to, and it feels much more meaningful than kissing.

If you had a child, and he/she started crying and you wanted to console him, a kiss would be nice. But a hug would be much more warm and comforting, and it would allow him/her to really feel like they can depend on you, even if that means you end up getting their snot and tears on your jacket.

Hugging is better in my opinion...
